Located in New Glasgow and Truro, HealthWalks Inc. Orthotic Clinic and Shoe Store (2 locations) is a 23-year-old successful private practice/business, originally set up as a pedorthic clinic. We are looking to recruit a podiatrist / chiropodist who is highly motivated and attentive to detail including the way they present themselves and their office.
The successful candidate must be qualified to be registered with The College of Chiropodists of Ontario within the first year of practice which is one of the only regulatory bodies in Canada. Check their approved programs here:

Our intention is to find a team player who is interested in working in a unique setting that is a private, family run business. The caseload would include podiatric services, split between foot care and orthotic therapy. There is an online course that is required called FMT Level 1. You can find it here:

Preference will be given to someone who demonstrates the ability and motivation to participate in all areas of the business including marketing ideas and to someone who has a keen attention to detail in all areas of patient care and documentation.
This opportunity includes podiatric patient assessment and treatment, orthotic assessment and treatment, education regarding shoe recommendations, reporting to doctors and meeting with doctors. Impeccable documentation and organization is a must.
We are open to helping with a gradual take over given we are closing in on the retirement years.
