Podiatry Services include:

  • Musculoskeletal assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of feet pain such as heel pain, flat feet, arch pain

  • Foot and ankle mobilizations - FMT, foot mobilization therapy

  • Plantar Fasciitis assessment and treatment

  • Treatment of ingrown toenails. Treatment may involve conservative pathway or full or partial nail removal surgery done in office

  • Hard skin, corn and callus removal 

  • Regular nail care

  • Diabetic foot assessment and foot care with footwear advice

  • Treatment of verrucas/warts with Falknor's needling 

  • Prescribe and issue custom foot orthotics including writing the prescription for your insurance company

  • Dry and cracked heel treatment

  • General foot care advice on how to look after your feet and what type of shoes to wear

  • Temporary toenail reconstruction for those with partial nail or deformed nails

Marcus Matthews, Podiatrist

Marcus will have you impressed not only with his knowledge of feet but also his super cool British accent. He and his family have moved to the area very excited to become Canadians! He is joined by his wife and two tween girls. 


Marcus studied to become a podiatrist at the University of Brighton. He has an impressive resume of continuing education courses in addition to his degree. He has worked both within the NHS public hospital system in the UK as well as in private practice and nursing home settings. Marcus mentored university students studying to become a podiatrist as part of his work within the hospital setting. He has also had his research published in the Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery, 


Like many health professionals, Marcus was called to care for patients as a podiatrist, a career his grandfather chose as well. Marcus initially trained in the area of carpentry many years ago, skills Karey tends to take advantage of regularly!!

What happens during your consultation?


When you book, we will determine from what you tell us you need if you will see the podiatrist for a:


1. Biomechanical Consultation/foot pain - $95 

This appointment includes medical history, musculoskeletal assessments including a gait analysis, diagnosis, and treatment. This is for patients who complain of pain to their feet, legs and back that may be related to their feet. Footwear is also discussed.




2. Skin/Nail Care Consultation - $95 initial appointment and $80 for repeat appointments

This appointment includes a medical history and depending on your needs may include checking the blood circulation and feeling in your feet. You will be involved in a discussion of your treatment plan and diagnosis.


Any minor problems that are picked up can usually be treated on the spot by our foot care specialists, including the removal of hard skin, corns and calluses, and nail care. 


If you require any major work to your feet, a repeat office visit may be required. For ongoing skin and nail care, the podiatrist will give your recommendations on how often you should be seen.

During your appointment, our specialists may recommend any of the following treatments depending on your individual care needs.

1. Options for improved footwear:

$150 - $250 depending on brand and style

2. Podiatry foot care (callous removal, nail care and/or diabetic foot care):

$95 initial consult, $80 repeat consult

3. Off-the-shelf orthotics:

$45 - $75


4. Custom made orthotics plus $95 consultation:

$325 - $375


5. Foot Mobilization Therapy (FMT) and Tool Assisted Massage (TAM):

$50 per visit

6. Home program of stretching and strengthening exercises:



7. Compression or support socks:

$34 – $110 knee high socks


8. Referral to other health professionals for further intervention or diagnostic tests:
